If your thread gets locked for practically no reason, is there any way that you can appeal that or something like that?

If a thread gets locked there is a good reason. You can PM one of the mods in that section and I'm sure they will gladly explain to you why.

No, your posts have to be appropriate for the forum its in. There are things that are appropriate to say and there arent. If your thread got locked, it got locked for good reason. If you have a problem with that, pm that mod. And dont argue with their decisions.

Actually, some threads get locked when two other members go at it with one another on some unrelated tangent. So if the OP were not involved in said argument, there is no reason he shouldn't be able to appeal it. Shit, if my sig thread or something of equivalence got locked due to stupidity, I'd rage for days until I probably accidentally end up with a nice "banned" rank. ._.

If you have a complaint about a moderator's actions, send a private message to any administrator (names in red) or global moderator (names in blue, like me!). We'll deal with it.
