Deep Cuts

Now i hold my hands up, i am a cutter, but after reading some of the posts on here and i need to ask you people about deep cuts..

how do you make deep cuts?

I have a shallow blade and kinda have the mindset of 'quantity not quality', but loads of you have had hospital trips cuss of a couple deep cuts... HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?

I don't have the balls that you guys do.

It's good you don't have the "balls".
I don't think anyone on here is going to encourage you to cut yourself deeply.
Stick with shallow ones they cause alot less harm and your less likely to scar. Or don't do it? Which is probably a stupid thing to say as you won't take any notice. You don't want to go to the hospital, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Please be careful yeah?

Tips on how to cut are not permitted on here. The fear you're feeling 'lack of balls' is a good sign, cos it means you know what you're doing is wrong. Trust someone who knows, not only do deep cuts hurt a lot, they also bleed to the extent were you might need medical assistance, and leave the worst scars. Be smart, and don't do it. It's good you don't cut deep. It's not a competition.
I don't usually cut deep bit when I have it's so scary. When you're sitting there and your wrist won't stop bleeding. And you wonder maybe you've actually done it this time. Seriously don't stick to shallower cuts if any at all. It's not worth it.

But seriously, going "too deep" is one of the scariest things I've ever experienced. I didn't mean to do it, but I was really close to needing to take a trip to the hospital. If I'd gone even the tiniest bit deeper I would have done. I was shaking, and I don't think I slept all night, and it didn't stop bleeding for about 2 maybe even 3 days.

They also leave awful scars, about half of the scars on my legs probably won't ever go because I've cut pretty deep, and it really isn't worth it.

If you really have to cut (which I strongly recommend not donig), try and stay safe and not go deep at all.

It's not a case of having "balls," half the time deep cuts are done accidently, by misjudging how hard to press or how fast etc. Most people that need stitches from self harm will say that they didn't mean for it to be that deep.
