I've lost count of how many days/months I've been clean now, it's probably around three months or so.
I feel like I will be able to stop it all now, just get out of this evil cycle. I've been wanting to write this here for a while, but I haven't really dared since I was afraid I'd might get triggered in some way, but I finally feel strong enough to do it now.
The first step I took was to leave the so-called "friends" that made me cut in the first place. After that it was so much easier to quit. It's hard to build up any kind of self-esteem and a motivation to stop cutting with someone telling you "you suck" every single day.
I finally really focused and said to myself "I'm gonna stop before I get completely lost in this" and I did. Or I guess time will tell, but I feel like I can manage without the cutting now, and it feels great.
My only tip for everyone is to stay determined to quit. Just try to think to yourself "It WILL get better" and be stubborn. I know it's hard, believe me, I do. Also, what I did was that I always found teeny little things in my everyday life to look forward to, that made me concentrate on that instead of thinking "I have to cut, I have to cut"
I believe in all of you, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the hard thing is finding it!
