so my friend is going through a lot. for the last two weeks she has been to the doctor twice for threatening to cut and kill herself. she had to sign a no suicide contract last week. she's scaring me. apparently, she was supposed to go to the hospital both times she went to the doctor, but she had horse shows so she got out of it. but she didn't go to either of these shows. i thought she would be fine, but her mom is refusing to drive her to her show this weekend, and that would have been her time away to find her head again. now she's having another mental breakdown. i don't want to go into too many details. but we are going to talk to the school's psychiatrist lady at lunch today...

what can i do? or say? should she go? we have a friend at a hospital in Texas, but my friend doubts her parents would let her go out of state for something like that...

Because I don't know her as much as you do, the moment you see a glimpse of relaxation in her, take your out for a hobby, club, or sport to keep her minds off things. Activities can help a person think more on what they're doing and off the other things :)

Your friend sounds like shes having a break down, and Unless youve seen her cut herself or go mental, or been with her to the doctors, Like proof, It could be a way of getting attention?
But if you know for deffinate, Then help her through it. Be as nice as you can, yes she should see someone and even if she maybe stays at your house, or you both or just her take a day trip, just find out whats troubling her and get her away from it :)
Which ever one it is, theres something troubling her for these actions, be a friend and help her as much as you can xx

Stick close to her make sure she feels loved and wanted, Im dealing with a similar problem. surround her with things she loves to do, Just remind her that she has people that love her and that her life is worth living :)
