Last night...I went to bed and I started randomly shaking and crying. I have never done this before.

I just kept making up things to cry about--like that my mom was going to die.

I cried really loudly and started hitting and kicking the walls.

Suddenly my dog jumped up and layed down next to me with her head on the pillow (which she never does), and I just got REALLY calm, and fell asleep hugging her.

Now I'm worried that I'm crazy by randomly crying.

I take 50 mg of zoloft, and 1 Melatonin pill before I go to bed, and I had taken them that day, so I don't know why I flipped out.

:(

You needed a cry. I cry for no reason sometimes because I'm always trying not to. You're not crazy. Your body is just upset, you're upset subconciously and you need to cry. Sob on.

Crying isn't always such a bad thing, it can even make you feel better after you've done it.

The same thing happened to me sometimes in the night. I'd wake up after a bad dream and begin to cry non-stop.

If you were asleep before you began to cry, maybe it was just a bad dream. Dreams, since you believe they are real at the time you are having them, do have the power to bring out strong emotions.

If the dream thing doesn't apply to you, I still wouldn't worry about it. A lot of people cry for no reason at all - they could just have felt a little bit sad at that moment. And if you feel happy right now, then I don't think you have a problem at all :) .
