Umm. Well. You might like Between the Trees? You like Bayside, you might like them.
One of my favourite artists ever covered a Death Cab For Cutie song :P I don't like Death Cab For Cutie myself, but she's [ulr=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwx1idzVbwE]Amanda Palmer[/url] if you're interested.
I'm holding on to the fact that you like Oasis and Metric so...
Metric is pretty much a new wave/indie band, with a bit of that mainstream sound. I'd try Frou Frou, maybe Imogen Heap's first album, I Megaphone? You might also want to try some stuff more on the electronic side. IAMX has a great sound, you might like them, mostly their newest album in this case.
You might want to listen to more Britpop, since you like Oasis.
If you want my own alt. rock I listen to, here you go.
The Airborne Toxic Event
Frou Frou
Placebo
The Cure
Garbage
The Smiths
Pixies
Tegan and Sara
Can't help but saying, you've got a bit of a reggae taste as well, you might want to mention. I don't like reggae myself, but my cousin Jessica is married to a guy who recently released his debut reggae album, his name is Kofi James and the album is called New Name. Otherwise, I don't know much reggae :P

I LOVE Metric :). A friend and I went to a concert of theirs last summer and got hooked on their songs for days!
If you love them, check out Mother Mother. Their sound is fun and simple, yet complex and intricate at the same time. Kind of hard to explain
