So heres the thing,
When I'm browsing a forum and see loads of unread threads I tend to open them up in tabs. But being the quick typer I am, I usually get the message "The forum requires you to wait 15 seconds between posts, please try again in '5' seconds" :what: or something like that. So it would be nice to maybe reduce this amount? Also, when i make an error in searching the forums, like username etc..., it also comes up there, so I'm just, like, waiting there -_-

So yeah could you please maybe tell me why we need it there please thanks :-)

Five seconds?! Really. It's not that long of a wait and it is there to reduce the amount of post a spammer could post, before getting caught.

As socko said it is to reduce spam and keep the server from over crowding frankly i'm impressed that the wait time is only 15 seconds i make my members wail 45 seconds
ok i typed this before you relised this being the stow typer i am

Its so it doesn't overload the servers. Atleast its not 45 seconds or a minute. Its also useful if you accidentally double post the same response. And chances are they are not going to lower it any further.

How the fuck do you read a topic AND reply to it within say thirty seconds? Fuck, seriously.

Yeah, its a spam filter to prevent people going on a spamming spree. Likelihood is no it won't be lowered for this reason, it'd just increase the load of spambots and posts the staff would have to keep getting rid of. Theres too many as it is.

OP Requested lock sooo :locked:
