View Full Version : I cannot stay happy

I don't know what's up with me, I really can't stay happy. I over think things, I imagine that my life will always be alone .. I really don't know. When i'm alone I try and do as much as I can to try and stay in a reasonably 'good' mood but no matter how hard I try I do end up being depressed.
I don't get it though, on some days I do actually feel happy, like I have a good life etc but the next day I feel like nothing, like i'm worthless.
My depression is worse at night when i'm sat alone, when I have the most time to think about my life.
I'm really thinking about going to talk to someone about it and get professional help but I don't know what they'd say, what they'd do and stuff ... Is it best to see someone?

Kay first of all  for my little brother. :)
I've told you this before, but you will not spend your whole life alone. It might take time to find someone but what is there not to like about you?
Seeing someone might be a good idea. A councellor will be able to talk things through with you, and just give you someone to vent to. It's not a magic cure though, and it won't work for everyone but it may help.
I'm always here to talk, remember that. :) xxx

Jai, things could be worse, there is people out there that can help you. If you want like medical help, all you need to do is go up to the doctors - In the uk they dont tell your parents shit and you can get prescibed anti-depressants free if your diagnosed. Don't leave it to build up inside you because you cant help it like that, go see your doctor. It'll be worth it in the end :) x

A lot of this has to do with puberty
It may seem like you're actually clinically depressed but if you were you would of felt like this your whole life.
Therapy could help, but if its just a phase I don't see the point in bothering. I feel the way you do a lot, but then I have days when I'm really happy. Its always off and on, part of growing up involves mood swings.
But the best thing that I can say right now to you is hang tight, and I hope everything goes well and gets solves
Love always~

Thanks Kathy, it really means something for you to be there  xxx
I don't know though. It's a hard decision, I can't just ring up and ask for one. I don't really have the confidence to .. I guess i'll have too, I more than likely will soon it's has been crossing my mind for a while. & I have been hanging tight for about a year now and nothing is improving it just seems to be getting harder for me :/
Thanks for trying to help though :/ :)

Jai I know it's hard to get help really I do. I never had the courage to do it because it really does take a lot, but I got help in the end in the worst way possible, you don't want that.

You are not alone, seeing someone can help but it might make you feel more dependent, try finding a hobby, sport, or club to keep your mind busy. Working out or jogging help clear your mind too :) Personal experience, it really works.
