I want to know what happens or what the doctor does to you when you get a physical. Details please :)

depend on the doctor....for me you pull down your pants,he looks at it for a second and gives it a tug or two....the the starts feeling your testicles for any problems,then,i really dont know what it does but he touches a certian place on your sack and your supposed to turn your head and cough,then i had to give a urine sample and i was done....the whole thing only took like 5 minutes.

Its either through my pants or I refuse to complete the physical and they write N/A for dose not apply. It angers a couple of my doctors :P

I can understand their frustration, a hernia check is actually very important and can save you a lot of pain if you do have one and get it fixed rather than run around with your intestine pertruding down through your sac. Just suck it up man.

Ok, I rarely see my family in the medical field, but when I do I actually let them take the test, so what I said wasn't entirely true, just for my doctor...

The doctors checks your body for scoliosis, does normal check-ups, ask for physical or breathing problems when physically active. Then, she ask you to pull down your pants for a gential exam. Checks for lumps on the testicular area and looks for abnormalities such as warts on your penis. :)

Most of the time its basic body structure and to make sure your not hiding an injuries like broken bones or torn muscles. Ya, turn and caugh blah blah, its not that bad at all. your pants are down for 10 sec while he does the test. I was really nervous the first time but I just looked away while it happened and it was over pretty quick and ended up not even being awkward. And I'm pretty strait...

Not sure how old you are or how big your wang is, but its not like they would laugh at it or anything.

my pediatrician seems to be a little more thorough. i have to get completely undressed, yea even my underwear, and he checks height, weight, ears, nose, throat, mouth, neck, pulse, blood pressure, heart, lungs. then he checks my joints and posture. then he heads south and presses on my stomach and stuff and then i stand and he checks my balls and dick and turn and cough. it's all good except he makes my mom come in :eek:

no one else mentioned your mom being there. do you all get to go in alone ?

I walked in and had to take off clothes, she came in and i bent over to check spine, i had to do the prostate exam thing cuz my family has a history of early prostate problems, did the whole coughing and listening to airways bit, i get weighed right outside the door, i was asked if i wanted to put clothes on cuz i'd be in the doorway and i said nah that'd take too long but noone cared at all. I had to give a urine sample and a semen sample once and that was it.

the doctors office is cold! haha
