I sorry people but i cant be strong you cant hold on to me
i cant throw away your rope or take your gun or hide your pills
i cant bandage your wounds or pick you up if you run away
i cant take you to a hospital if you go to deep or over dose
maybe this is why you want my help i cant enforce what i say
but i cant help you
i can read what you write
i can stay up all night writing to you
i can say i've been there too
but at the end of the day i'm just words on a page to you
not a friend
not a comforting voice
just words on a page
so why do you want my help

I'm saying that i'm just these posts i type to people on here how does a little text in a box help anyone at the end of the day if they want to die they will weather or not i post on here if they want to cut they will regardless of what my post says

Because it helps people to know someone cares. Even if its a random person on a random website typing out 5 lines of texts. It can make a massive difference. If you post something to that person that makes them pause, think, and stop, then you've made a difference. Thats what your little box of text can do.

Well thats a good attitude to have :) Help is help, everyone deserves help, regardless of their social preferences, or mental status, which is why you come here. And then if you want, you can return the favor. Thats what makes it good.

I totally see what you're saying, however words on a page can make so much difference. Just knowing someone is there, who cares. Sometimes just writing a post on here, or reading a reply gives you the release you need. I know my threads here and the people i've met on here (even though just over the internet) have actually kept me alive. I wouldn't be here without this site.

I know it's frustrating sometimes, being separated by a computer screen when you want to help someone more but it might not always be that way.
