Where did all the girls go???

I've always been pretty awkward around pretty girls dispite being more interesting and good looking than I thought I was. But now that I've started to reinvent my game, al the decent girls seem to be taken, or so far out of my circle of friends that I never talk to them. There's actually a girl I've been talking with, but we don't ever see each other even in school, and things eventually got awkward.

Is there a good way to talk with these girls? Even if I don't see than around much?

Thanks! Thats really reinforces what I've been finding out. so far things are going well. Its just hard because I rarely have time to hang out outside of school and I never see the girls I like during school.
