Now is the time I risk my reputation among this forum because I can possibly guess a large proportion of people who view this thread will be against them, but I always find it cool to find others who like them as I love them in that non-gay way. Now I know many people will be automatically against them for whatever reason, that's cool I don't really care. Their common reason is "Their songs suck, they can't sing".. etc, etc. Anyways, is there anyone here who enjoys their music?

And for those who don't know them or have never heard of them I recommend these songs. Just give them a try, I've managed to persuade several haters only because they were willing to hear me out.

In order of when they were released.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejz2dm_iuIs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTLYOF1BdTA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XfwJGS1GPQ

These two songs are the ones most of my friends (who dislike the band) like.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCLBntJznsM

Any fans out there, hit me up. Anyone who likes the songs, say so. =3

I have friends who like Blood on the Dance Floor, and I will never understand why.

Don't try and convince me to like them, it's a futile effort. To me, they will always be the definition of the word 'shit,' a duo that puts out garbage that can hardly be considered music. They are the only band that I will openly deride with all my heart. Their productions are sinister and ridiculous. Their talent is none. They turn teenagers into annoying evangelical scene pricks who are obsessed with their disgusting and vile lyrics.

And don't you DARE call me a fucking 'hater,' I'm giving my opinion, and if you don't like it, deal with it instead of acting holier-than-thou.

Hehe, Don't you dare think I'll call you a hater. Of course people are entitled with their own opinion, I'm not talking that away from you. At least you give good reasons as to why you dislike them. But I do disagree with the turning teenagers part, only because I'm not an annoying evangelical scene prick. I agree, there are some damn annoying kids out their that fit that description smack on, and they do annoy me but the only label I'll accept is obsessing over their music.

Well, everyone has their own tastes. I admit, BOTDF were far from my taste since I enjoy rock, metal, post hardcore, etc. But it was just their unique lyrics and my attitude I just came to like them.

Well, my school is full of them. It's a subculture that I've come to hate because they do nothing but act like idiots all day. I'm fine with people who listen to shit like this, but I can't stand it when they spread it around as if everybody needs to hear it.

No offense to yourself, of course.

But please, don't use the word 'hater'.

Haha, that must suck. It's the complete opposite here, well excluding the shit music part. I gues I can portray an attitude of "OMG check this out" when it comes to music, but I'll do that with any song by any artist.

I will not say or used said word.!

Have fun with your ticket for disturbing the peace.

Seriously, if you're going to drive around and play music, don't blast it. It's distracting to other drivers and nobody wants to hear your music. Keep it to yourself.

Hehe, Good thing they don't bother with shit like that here. And the whole intention behind having music loud in the car is to piss other drivers off. ^_^ Especially the ones who think they dominate the roads, they need someone to piss them off so they stop their stupid moves.

I pick and choose songs around my family, for fear of them saying either 'thats horrible' or 'thats boring' (the latter goes to songs 8+ minutes long).

I had my brother call The Evpatoria Report horrible the other day... like what the fuck.

I couldn't give less a shit on what people think about my taste in music. If they don't like it, whatever. Doesn't affect me. If people think that it's boring or horrible, it doesn't matter because I think it's great.

Sorry but, when I hear of their name, she oddly pops into my mind o__O

Ugh, I tell you what ever since has made those videos she has become widely popular amongst people and they're all like "omgihatethatbitch". Which is annoying because all she did was make amusing videos, and ugh. How people associate her with BOTDF is beyond me, maybe wearing a BOTDF shirt wasn't a good idea for her. Haha.

And I totally agree, everyone has their own taste.

I think their songs are oddly amusing, just for their novelty. There is one called Candyland that is rather... profane. Novelty aside I would never put down .99$ to listen to it more than once. I prefer songs with meaningful lyrics and talented musicians whose music elicits an emotional response. Suggestions include,

Eric Clapton (Layla, Tears in Heaven, Cocaine, etc)
Nirvana (Lithium, Heart-shaped box, in bloom)
The Beatles (only some of theirs though, see Eleanor Rigby)
The Rolling Stones (Sympathy for the devil, Gimme shelter,
Hurt by Johnny Cash
Creedence Clearwater Revival (Have you ever seen the rain)
Led Zeppelin (Stairway to heaven, Kashmir, Ten years to come)
The Doors (People are strange, Break on through)
Mettalica (Enter sandman,
Rush (YYZ, Tom Sawyer)
Black Sabbath
Disturbed (Stupify)
Alice in Chains (Down in a Hole, Them Bones)
Eagles (Hotel California)
Guns N Roses (Paradise city, Don't cry,
Iron Maiden (Seventh son of a seventh son, Infinite Dreams)
Journey (Wheel in the sky, Don't stop belivin')
Kansas (Cary on wayward sun,
Queen (All of their greatest hits album, Bohemian rhapsody)
Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon album, Comfortably numb <-one of the best songs EVAR!)
Radio Head (Creep
SoundGarden (Black hole sun, spoonman)
Aerosmith (Janie's got a gun, walk this way, sweet emotion)
Mottley Crue (Home sweet home)
Evanescence (Its all the same song so pick any of them (My immortal))
Anthrax (Madhouse)
The Animals (House of the rising sun)
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Under the bridge, snow,)
Some of Tool (Lateralus)
Lucy and the sky with diamonds is an interesting song
Some Slipknot (Duality, phycosocial)
Stone temple pilots (Creep)
Franz Ferdinand (Take me out, Lucid dreams)
[email protected]$~#@%$#@^%$ (Deadmau5, Scrillex, Ben Bassani, Basshunter)

This should be enough recommendations to start you off on a journey of musical enlightenment. I would start with the first 5 and then finish the list within a day because all of the bands will give you multiple earasms.

MattVon

I can become extremely ignorant when being suggested new music, considering BOTDF are my #1 band, do you really think I'll have any taste in anything else the seem to be "mainstream". Pretty sure, I don't like a lot of it, but the ones I've left in the quote are ones I've already heard before and do like. No I choose not to venture on to the rest because like I said, I'm ignorant towards new music being suggested to me. I prefer finding music on my lonesome, since I have more chance of deciding if I like it, I hope you can accept that. =]

I think their songs are oddly amusing, just for their novelty. There is one called Candyland that is rather... profane.Candyland is one of my favourites. <3 Jayy's solo is quite something. =3

Disturbed (Stupify)
Guns N Roses (Paradise city, Don't cry,
Queen (All of their greatest hits album, Bohemian rhapsody)
Some Slipknot (Duality, phycosocial)

If it's any consolation to you, I've re-ignited my interest into AC/DC again and am currently getting their discography yet again, to see if there's any other songs I favour, like I have for Thunderstruck.

Coincidence?

I heard about this when that bitch Jessi Slaughter was around. I mean, what the fuck. Humanity is failing if this is considered music. When I have kids, I'm steering then crystal clear away from music like this.

Remember not to breath when drinking, don't want it going down the wrong hole now. And seriously, all people ever do is associate BOTDF with Jessi Slaugther. Clear that people who want to diss on their music don't do their research appropriately. Jessi was just an accident, just like Boxxy was when haters started on her due to some /b/ crap.. Or whatever it was, I'm not much of a 4chan person. Just that overflowing internet crap you just can't avoid.

BOTDF are good, seriously. Check out their new album, it has to be one of their best yet.
