Just got my first Android phone and I love it. However I can't seem to setup something so basic. Basically when I'm at work or in a quiet waiting area, on my old phone I used to set it to 1 Beep + Vibrate notification for calls and texts.

However I can't seem to find any setup for this anywhere. I did some searching on google and its seems like others had the same problem. Some recommended mp3s but I'm thinking wouldn't an MP3 just loop the beep over and over?

Is there an easy way or painless way of setting this up?

MP3 is the only solution I know of. It won't loop on notification.

But it will for calls right? So I'd probably have to find an MP3 with a single beep and just add a bunch of silence to it. Anyone know an easy way of doing that?

Take the sound file and put it in "ringdroid". Paste the sound over as desired. And then set it as ringtone.
