You missed the The Fly(80s) and The Thing.

The Shining is easily the best done horror film ever made. The complexity to how Kubrick shot everything and shoving subliminal messages into it - nothing can beat this movie.

Also, American Psycho is a dark comedy, not a horror film.

In terms of shock horror, Salo would be my choice. It's what you'd expect from an exploitation film if it went all artsy.

Clearly you people haven't picked movies that even come close to measuring up to the awesomeness of The Omen (1976).

I agree with Electric Nomad, the thing should've been there, you really can't get tired of watching it.
