I'm dreading it. I went when I was a junior and it was horrible. They had it in our school commons area and had Chick-Fil-A cator us with...Chicken...Nuggets. *cringes* But I also used a dress I wore to a wedding three years before. I'm going into Houston tomorrow to get a real dress!
Any of you going to prom this year? Dreading it? Refusing it...?

My senior prom is tonight, I'm going with the same girl I did last year. It's alright I guess. Small town, small school, small financial abilities.

Not going to prom this year or next year...well unless I can get someone to go with me :S
but my brother, who is a senior, is going to this Senior Banquet. I have no idea what the difference is from prom, but it costs a lot more and it's not at school. he's only going with friends.

I went with a date last year, but why take a date to SENIOR PROM? My mother always used to tell me to "Go with friends" So. Well. I'm taking a girl this year! Now she regrets her word choice =P
Yall don't need dates to go. =/ It's more fun your senior year without one.

We have a Junior prom here, and then senior year your class chooses if you want a ball (Usually it's only semi-formal, not formal formal) or a class trip, or both, if you have raised enough money.
My prom was on April 9th, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better time. Everything seemed to fall into place. Not to say there weren't small problems. But overall, it was perfect.
I asked my date to bring me in the fall. He's a sophomore, looked AMAZING in his tux, and I can now finally call him my boyfriend. :)

Didn't go to Junior Prom, didn't know it was even happening. I heard it was quite fancy. Senior prom here is overkill with a graduating class of over 1000 students.

1000 students? Holy crap. In my entire school there is less than 500, and my class has 140ish.
I went to one prom already this year, with my school's coming up in 2 weeks, and I can't wait. It'll be a blast! And most of the school's in this area have the Junior and Senior prom as the same thing, so its fun.

My graduating class has gone from 141 our freshmen year to 86 this senior year! Our prom won't be much of an overkill. It'll be more adults then students! Woo? xD
That's what happens when everyone gets pregnant 9th-11th grade and drops out 12th.

My school doesn't have a prom :'( In fact, no schools in Ireland do :(
We have a debutante at the end of our last year though, but it costs a fortune anyway not including your dress, make up, hair etc. Most people don't even know what they're paying for. Basically it's a night at a hotel. People make a big deal out of it and in the end it's not really worth it.
I wish we had proms, they'd be so much fun :)

I never had a prom (skipped 12th grade), but I'm going this year with my friend. I'm not dreading it at all, what happens happens. Also it should generally be a fun night if you go with someone you like (friend, bf, gf, whatever).
Personally I'm a little anxious since I'll be seeing all my past classmates, but its alright. :)
