My mother is convinced that I'm possessed by demons. Like no joke. It's so funny, yet scary that she beleives it. I told my psycologist and she's like damn, your mom is a bit crazy. However she brings it up so much and it's well annoying. She pretends to be this perfect fuckin christian when she's not! She's an asshole to me, and I'm for the majority of the time a nice person. I'm not possessed! That's not why I self harm. I'm like mom the demons don't make me do that, it's you. Well okay, I don't have the courage or heart to say it, but I definately think it. I think she needs seirous help. She's legitally serious about Satan possessing me. What should I do about this?

Ah I know what you mean, lol I used to get beaten bc I was born a week or before my grandfather died, my parents did the whole 'hes a demon child we have to beat it outta him' and they became more.convinced of it as I grew older, bc of my music and how I dress and how Im all reclusive etc.

HellHound please refrain from bashing christianity. Just because her mother is going to extremes doesn't mean all of us are.

Now, original poster, I think, if she is saying that, you should try it her way, and prove that you're not possessed by Christian means. Could you perhaps get your hands on some holy water? If so, splash it on yourself in front of her, and if you belive in this, do the sign of the cross. When you don't start burning because of it, she'll know that you're not possessed. Holy water is the instrument of nearly every exorcism. She can't deny the validity of your full ownership of your body. Just in case any of you think I'm joking, I'm not. This is a real suggestion.

Ok, to neutralize the tome of the thread, forget about the religon involved, parents shouldnt be allowed to barge in on the childs privacy case closed, it was wrong of her.

anyways what to do about it, dont let her take it too far, tell someone you trust to help you make her stop. She shouldnt be allowed to fire down your privacy and bottom line, practacally insult you. hope this helps ;)

I'm not sure who to talk to about it, my dad doesn't believe me when I tell him that. He's like sure... and my psycologist thinks she needs help, but she doesn't do anything about it. I have crosses in my room, I pray, go to bible study, multiple churches, go to a Catholic School, I mean there's no way I'm demonically possessed or for her to think that.

Since you go to catholic school do you attend a roman catholic church? If so, stand up when called and eat the host and drink the body. If you do, then she won't be able to say you're possessed. If she was a real christian she'd believe that god is more powerful than Satan, and Satan cannot resist god's holiness.

I know how you feel i get this all the time people who don't know i cut think i do because i'm wiccan and all they know about wicca are the old time spells that have only been done once or twice in the last 20 years
EG that old spell to controal a man by slipping menstrual blood into his food

have you tried saying that you don't aggre with her beliefs and you wish she would keep them to her self once she know your a wiccan she can't push any more beliefs on you and expect you to accept them
if that doesn't work i would just grin and bare it as long as she's not a hard core Christian noting can come of whats in her messed up mind
if she is a hard core Christian just keep her away from the topic at all times if she starts talking about religon say "sorry my phone just rang"

All of that sounds exactly like my family LOL.

I've also been accused of being into black magic and satanism so many times - but that's a long story. I remember several years ago when one of my relatives always refused to even look at me because she was "scared" of the possessed look I always had in my eyes. I couldn't help but find it really funny.

I don't know how hard you find it to deal with certain family members, but whenever anyone made those kids of accusations and judgements towards me I just laughed it off and ignored it, but that's just me. They never really affected me.

Sit down with her and explain to her that our prayers (say it like that, spells) to the God and Goddess are not evil. We pray to help others in need. We help those who are sick or are in constant pain. We heal with our prayers. What we do it far from evil or worshiping Satan. This is why I'm known to be slightly sacrilegious. Religion is not a only a bunch of made up myths and fairy tales, but it corrupts people's minds, such as your mother's.
