I have always been a not very sporty kid my life. During my childhood my sport was swimming and I did fairly well on it. Now, I do pretty decent, even with the extra weight I lug around I'm fine. I'm pretty chubby and "big built" for my weight. This summer I've decided to really change my body and be fit and start looking "good"
For some reason rugby really interests me. I just want to do a sport aside from swimming which I'll be doing in a few weeks. Is it too late for me to join a new sport and join like a club? I know they'll take me in, but I want to play with the kids my age. Any suggestions, ideas?

You're 14. Definitely not too late I would think. I decided I wanted to join a team at the age of 18, and that was far too late, because most of the teams are like ages 12-16. After that age group it's almost impossible to find a team for my age around here. There's only stuff like martial arts and stuff for adults. :/
Go for it, and have fun! :)

Its never to late to start a sport, I started Figure Skating, ya, that sport on ice, right before I turned 15. And I am pretty good. I've never been active ever until just this year and I also do Cross Country and Track, running a 6 min. Mile, so I know its never to late

I think a good sport to shape up would be lacrosse, plus it's really fun and the guys I know that play lacrosse really like it. Also it's a really rought sport. Maybe dancing? it actually does help if you're commited to it. As for the clubs: school clubs. Good luck.
