I don't know, maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I haven't to date met someone who's heard of this mighty fine underrated band. (Although their song 'Blood' has been overused in a few adverts and films within the same time period, when word got to the US that Australia exists.) Maybe that's because I'm not Australian and I only have one Australian friend.
So lads, I'd love to hear your opinions on 'The Middle East', a band from Townsville, Queensland in Australia.
so, ah... more famous songs first...
fXqSK7bKokw
'The Darkest Side', awesome harmonies by the end.
E7SSC3ex-bA
'Blood'.
...then their long awesome songs (the kind that build up):
KlSxtGqcZaA
'Pig Food', but with violins from their 13 minute 'Tsietsi' playing for the last two minutes I think.
J6SG-K7s6oQ
'Good As Gold', the original, lengthened version of 'Fools Gold' (although here they mixed the two).
aaaand finally, other songs not really listened to / heard of.
8jFSs2wN7xU
'Lonely', one of the tracks from 'Recordings Of The Middle East'.
i1qkWChQmFE
'Mt. Morgan', plus the 'Mt. Morgan End' that's the finisher to their debut album.
gNEdw62y-io
'Months', from their debut album... uplifting.
cMO1zZiQjS0
'Lie Thee Down'. They really need a studio version of it.
So yeah. I mean, I don't expect you to listen to all of those, but at least listen to some and I'd love to hear what people think.
