View Full Version : Small (.5cm/quarter inch) lump on scrotum, just a pimple?

It's a bit painful if I smash it but I was wondering if it's just a pimple because it definitely popped up in under 24 hours. Possibly in under 6 because I don't recall it when I came home from school today. It's red and it appears to have a small pinhole in the top like a pimple. Am I just getting worked up over a pimple? How long should I wait for it to subside before I go to a doctor? Doctor is my last resort, I have no problem telling my doctor about it I just kinda find it hard to tell my mother I have a lump on the top of my scrotum almost exactly where it meets my penis. It's definitely just under the skin whatever it is.
For sure if it gets worse I'll go to a doctor but I was wondering what you all think for right now.
Also, it's pretty firm, not much more than a big pimple though. Then again cancerous tumors I assume aren't as hard as diamonds.

Hi!
It's common for pimples to show up, down there. Another possible answer could be a ingrown hair. Those are similar and are also common down there. I would wait for 3-5 days and if it is still there or has gotten bigger or more painful, then I would set up an appointment with your family doctor. As for telling a parent, If you can tell your father if thats possible, if not then don't be afraid to tell your mother something, she isn't going to laugh or anything, She is there to help and just tell her something across the lines as " Mom, I need to go see the doctors when we can get the chance, I have a bit of a GUY problem." she should understand and set up an appointment.
I wouldn't give it too much thought right now, but if it worsens or doesn't go away then maybe it's something to look into.

Alright thanks.
No problem! I've had those show up and typically they are gone with in a few days. Also Have you been out in the woods lately? Hiking, Running, Trail running/hiking?

Nah, the weather's too dodgy and bees scare the living shit out of me so I try to avoid being outside for everything except riding my horse :)
But my dog does sleep on my lap so maybe a tick got a little horny and started giving me a BJ? lol

It could be a number of things. Ranging from a cellulitis to a pimple or a cancerous tumor. BUT then again I do not know, my ADHD is a little off wack.
OR it could be a straitified basal skin cell monocarcinoma.
But a few questions need answered first:
1. Are you experiencing any other symptoms i.e pain, swelling, redness, warm to the touch.............
2. Do you have any allergies to medications or food, any allergies at all?
3. What medications are you taking right now. This includeds over the counter medications.
4. Have you sustained any injuries to your groin area as of lately?
5. If there is any pain does the pain extend anywhere else?
If you can think of anything else that you might think could help please list them.

Well what I was thinking it could be chiggers, but thats an extremely low possibility since you said that you haven't gone out into woods or anything like that.

Well it got way more painful to touch today but it also got a bit smaller. I think it's either a bug bite or a pimple.

sounds ok to me, if it doesnt go in about a week or gets worse you need to get yourself checked.

Well it hurts now if I put even a little pressure on it but that's also symptom of hair follicle infection or something and since it didn't get any bigger I figure that may be it. I just put some antibiotic crap on it so if it's that it should go away in a few days, at least the redness, maybe not the lump. I still don't know if pain is enough to go to the doctor, my penis can rub all over it all day and not even notice it apparently.

It could be a forsythe spot, quite common

Fordyce's spot? Those are painless. I would call this pretty far from painless.. At least when I touch it.
And now I've come to the conclusion that it's a boil.. I need to treat it very tentatively for a long time apparently so this is going to be annoying as fuck.

I had something similar to this on the middle of my shaft (middle of the penis). It went away for a while, but came back a second time. But it went away again and I never got it since. Also, I think it was just a pimple, a little big though. And if I jacked off to hard, it would bleed. The bleeding thing happened right before the pimple went away.

If I can find an analgesic/anesthetic I may just put it there and lance whatever the little bastard is. If it's cancer it'll be obvious because not even blood will come out, if it's a pimple or anything it may bleed quite a bit or it may have pus. But I don't think I have any lidocaine or anything around here. Really, it's just attached to the skin it's not under it or anything so unless it turns into a golf ball size or something I think I'm good for now. Thanks everyone.
