Why is it "Gay" to be in choir?

OK so I have 2 older sisters that where in chior and I grew up singing with them so in I joined choir also but I got made fun of all the time my friend don't care but it's friends of friends or guys on the football team or people i don't know very well that call me fag or say things like your in choir that kinda gay and it bothers me because not only is it offencive to me and gay guys but why do I have to be gay to be in chior if I was in a band it would be cool. Idk I just think it's stupid.

I was in a treble in a choir untill i was 12 and I dont think anyone was gay ( I was an exception -_-) it's obvious there just trying to annoy you because u can do something they can't and because it's something they don't do. Tbh there just being dicks.

I haven't been in choir since primary, neither am I male, but I am a theatre nut, and I do see that type of prejudice constantly.

See, "guys" don't sing in choir. "Guys" don't dress up and sing and act. "Guys" don't do art, "guys" don't go shopping, "guys" don't dabble in fashion, "guys" don't like Cher, Streisand, Clay Aiken, Lady Gaga, etc.

That's why it's gay. The masses seem to like to equate gay with wanting to be a "girl."

I hope you get me in the difference between "guy" and guy, and "girl" and girl.

Some people can't except that how we've been raised, that guys have to be into sports and video games and hunting, isn't correct. Gender stereotypes aren't always true. The only difference is a few genetic things that make us different. We don't have to be anything just because we have a different chromosome.

That's why it's gay.

Because it's considered feminine by some people. I wouldn't say they're saying that because "'they're jealous". They're just saying that because they're retarded, and think you have to be gay to like certain things. There's quite a few guys in choir at my school, and I don't ever hear people call them gay, so I don't know. I've never heard people being called gay because they're in drama, though. Keep doing. Don't stop because people like to be dicks.

I don't understand why they thing guys singing is "gay". I can almost guarantee that most of the music they listen to have guys as singers so... There's not even a logical explanation for that.
