Long Hair

Why is it that society accepts long hair on girls but not on guys? I'm a guy with hair about 3/4 down my back and every day I get a comment like, "ya evah thught a but cutn yur hair, derp?!" It doesn't anger me, but it confuses me. And before you say long = girl and short = guy, no one seems to disapprove a short haired girls. So why is this? And, girls, do you find long hair attractive?

Well I do dissaprove of short hair on girls to a point. As long as its down to their shoulders I consider it long but any shorter and its incredibly unattractive. Also just gonna say that guys are just normally thought of to have shorter hair and honestly your hair is freakishly long for a guy so I would consider getting it cut if you want the ridicule to stop or ever want a girlfriend. Sorry if that came across offensively, didnt mean it.

I actually find very short hair on girls can be pretty attractive, and no one's ever bothered me over having shoulder-length hair as a guy. Though, I do plan on getting it cut down to about my neck or so.

I think it depends on the way your face looks. If you have the face for a certain style of hair, then go for it!

Ok first of all my comment is not ridiculous at all, it is a comment and therefore my OPINION. My opinion is largely based on the majority of the general public, so that it answers his questions best. Most people would find a guy with hair 3/4ths down his back pretty weird. And think about it, if you were a normal person and thought of a guy you would most likely picture a person with short hair, t-shirt, and jeans (or something pretty similar). And a girl would be a person with long hair (about a little longer than shoulder length) and a dress. Those are stereotypical images of how we differentiate genders, most of the time. Also the last portion of your comment didn't even make sense so I wouldn't go critisizing other peopls opinions if I were you.

personally im fine with guys that have hair down their backs. its the guys with hair down to their shoulders that i dont like. i dont know why but i dont( no offence to any guys with hair that length). but thats just me.

I have medium length hair, it is no where near shoulder length though, I don't like seeing guys with really long hair it sounds bad but it always looks messy, greasy or dirty. But then it is everyone's own choice what they choose to look like so if you like it keep it.

yh i find it weird because i have shoulder hair length and i don't like guys with longer hair than me especially because when u kiss i like running my hand throw the guys hair and if his hair was long it would be a pain but every guy has a different opinion some girl love guys with short hair some dont :D
