Just try to start up a conversation about it, ease into it, then ask. I don't think it'd be a good idea to just walk up to him and ask out of nowhere, since that could end up being really awkward. You sort of want to make sure you have the right timing, since, depending on whether or not he's comfortable talking about having a relationship with you or not at the time, his reaction could go both ways.
Also, don't worry too much about it. If he's a good friend, even if he doesn't really want to date you, he'll understand and try making it less hard on you. If not, then it's his loss.

When u r hanging out with him just try to steer the conversation towards that sort of thing and maybe drop that your bi then if it's a good time either tell him how u feel or ask him out. :D Rather than catching him off guard at a random time and making him feel awkward :)
