I recently made some delicious little oreo truffles. Its inexpensive and easy so I thought I would share it with you.

You will need oreos, Philadelphia cream cheese (softened) and chocolate melts.

(I didn't include quantities because that will very much depend upon how much you want to make, you can infer how much you will need by reading the directions)

1. Mash up the oreas into crumbles. It doesn't have to be fine, but large pieces will make molding the balls difficult. (Use a plastic ziplock, put the oreos in, and mash them up by hand until the oreos are crumbles)

2. Mix the softened cream cheese with the crumbles until evenly mixed. The crumbles should be easily moldable.

3. Mold balls of the crumbles into 1x1 inch balls.

4. Melt the melting chocolate and roll the oreo balls in the chocolate until thoroughly coated.

5. Put the balls on a baking pan and put it in the fridge. Don't take them out until the chocolate adheres nicely to the oreo ball. I would estimate that will take anywhere from 30-45 minutes

6. Enjoy! These make great party favors and they are simply to make.

I just tried it this evening, and thanks to you I now have delish truffles to serve at dinner!

It all went smoothly...except for a big bowl of burnt chocolate- probably need to throw that away. Anyways, I am sure they will taste fine without chocolate. :D

Cream cheese sounds a bit.... Iffy. Could you not use like butter cream or something instead to make it more sweet, rather than cheesy?
