i met this girl. and we dated for like 3 days then she broke up with me because she "found out I'm 18" when i told her i was 18 the first day i met her. she is 16. i don't think that is the only reason she broke up with me because now she is dating my brother. but just to serve my curiosity is age like that really a problem for most people? i live in Cali FYI

I think when people are young they want some in the same grade at school but i think during college, people don't really care anymore.

Yea. As soon as you are out of high school, the age factor doesn't exist. I personally think the age line is about 17. When you are 16, age matters, but when you turn 17 it matters sometimes and after 17. 18, It doesn't matter at all.

i personally don't think age is a factor. well i suppose it depends on the laws and whatnot but other than that i think age is just a number.

Yeah idk my ex she was 2 years and 3months younger then me and 2 years behind me in school then me and we didn't think about it and this new girl I like told me I feel way older then her bit I'm only like 1 .5 years older then her and one year behind me in school so it depends on the girl. Bur urs sounds like she used it as a break up

At skl people normally want someone in the same year but when people get older it's not such a factor :)

I say the same as everyone else has been. Age is a huge deal when you're younger, because you're so different from each other. When you're older, you have less differences as far as age goes. I've never dated way outside my relative age, until I was 17, and met a guy in his twenties (shush!! :P). The main thing with relationships with large age gaps, is the differences in maturity, culture (I notice it a lot myself. Dating an 80's kid when you're a 90's kid does make a huge difference, because you're both raised and cultured differently. The larger that gap is, the more issues you'll have), etc. Often, it doesn't work when that gap is larger.
