I created an Avatar but it will not let me put it in because the size is to large, is there anyway you could raise the size or somthing. The image its self isnt that big, its only 100x 100 but it still wont let me upload it

Edit: i got it on but its just not as good a quality, actuly it looks like crap, but i can deal

the set limit is at 32 kb which is a really small amount. we should ask Mr. Kiros or Mr. Alex to set it a bit higher like to 64 kb or even to 100 kb if possible. (your avatar is 49.36 KB (50546 bytes) )

avatars shouldn't really slow down vt, unless you got dial-up :P

well not everybody can afford broadband(tries to think of people who cant?). But if you think about the math, 100kb 10 posts(default) per page. Thats 1mb of extra data every time you load a page, now that will slow it down page loading for most people who don't have a 6 megabit line. But i don't know maybe it's worth a shot to raise the limit, but i have broadband so i think it is only fare that those people on VT that don't should get to have there say considering they will be the ones most affected.

See, i tryed uploading it to photobucket, than i put it in the avatar slot, and it said it was to big X.X

Because the avtar you had is 49.36 KB and the max size is 32.0 KB.

If you made those in photoshop you could try to lower the quality when you save the jpeg in order to make it smaller

i tryed that, i even lowed it the quality to 0 but it was still to big

Well i was looking at the size of the avatars in your sig, and the myspace andd me, and "just say no" avatars are under 32 kb. Are those the ones you wanted to make as your avatar?
