Well, I asked the girl that I like (who has a boyfriend) to the prom. She said that she couldn`t go, because her boyfriend would not take it well, but she said that she was flattered that I asked. Is this a good thing that she was flattered?

It depends on how she said it. It may have just been said to seem polite or because she was really flattered.


I wouldn't honestly ask out any more girls with boyfriends though. You won't usually get positive results.

She was being polite. I have to agree with Katie, as well: Asking a girl that's already taken can have predictable results. But, if you really are looking for a silver lining to all this, you could pat yourself on the back for having the nerve (and I do mean that in a complimentary way) to ask at all.
