Sexual Curiosity

Humans are naturally curious about all sorts of things - including sexuality. Sexual curiosity is commonly confused with bisexuality, however curiosity is not a sexuality while bisexuality is. Unlike sexualities (also known as sexual orientations or preferences), curiosity is not a preference; it's more like an uncertainty of a preference.

Everyone who is sexually curious has an orientation that they are comfortable with and an orientation that they would like to explore. For instance, if a boy likes girls and is curious about boys, then this boy is straight, but he is sexually curious.

Some teenagers may experience sexual curiosity as a temporary phase, while other teens may remain curious throughout puberty. It's less common to see curious adults than teens simply because by the end of puberty, most people who have been curious will figure out their orientation (bisexual, gay, or straight).
