i have a friend who gets panic attacks and one thing he would do is distract himself from the attack when it started....and if it is a small attack it is easier to distract yourself...i hope this helped

Define "freak out". I mean, when you hear a bird chirp, do you just jump, or do you go into a state of panic and you can't calm yourself down?

If your having panic attacks, like you say you are, then maybe you need some kind of medication to stop the anexity. Speak to somebody who can be there with you to support you if you go to speak to a professional about these episodes that your having.

Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.

Hello, I have an anxiety disorder and it sounds like you may have one also. Depending on what type of anxiety disorder it is like generalized anxiety disorder which I have, you won't be able to fully stop the waves of irrational panic. Talk to a doctor about anti depressants as those can help alot.
