Default My cousin's Obesity

Yes, this is not my problem but the whole family.

My cousin, a typical boy with a problem with eating food. 4 years younger than me, but suffers a lot in his health section.

I noticed his unnatural size when he was about 8. He started to become obese day by day.

He was even fatter than this kid here

Is healthier than my cousin.

My cousin have brought other diseases and disorders. He have some kind of extra tissue in his nose and it seems like mucosa. And some skin diseases of unreachable places due to fats.

This issue didn't bother their parents but us as well.

He have problem eating, he eats a lot despite his knowledge.
This is one of his most famous words I quoted.

"If I don't get anything to eat, I will kill you and eat you"

This have terrified us all. Not because how the words are made but his desires to eat and just.

He can eat a whole family launch.

The most memorable day is the day we went to eat launch at burger in a Mall near seaside, ironically named Marina Mall and the marina crescent.

That's launch he ate, a family French fries, two refilled large sized Cola's.
And 3 Triple whooper << No Joke.

And at night he ate a lot from Friday's and Ruby Tuesday. Came back home vomiting from eating too much. Chicken, steak and many other things.

The last day he came carrying a two Co-op bags filled with sweets and candies. I truly cried after he went.

If his parent care for him, they wouldn't have wasted money for him to eat but instead it could save him.

I am truly stuck in this. If they used the money for his food for hospitalization would've been better than being empty shits and fats.

I truly pity him. His parents just leave him alone like this and give him money to further feed his desires, but increasing his risk factor even higher.

Any help is appreciated. Leave comments and suggestions and thank you.

Sounds like Binge Eating Disorder and/or Over Eating Disorder.

I'd get him to see an Eating Disorder Specialist, a Nutritionist, and a Dietitian.

He needs to explore why he overeats, and he needs to try and work through why.

However, HE needs to decide he wants help and to seek help, only HE can do that, not you.

I would say the same thing. But before that you should try talking to your cousin's parents. They should surely understand you better.

Yeah, we told their parents but no use, we said everything and we were mainly concerned for his health.

Also, he himself doesn't want treatment or look for a specialist.

I think a quick shift might kill him, but gradual change in food pattern help. And he must be 16 and over, he is not at the right age as said by the family doctor for a new life style change.

What your family doctor is saying is perfectly correct. Try slowly changing his habits.
But from what I think is that, your cousin will himself understand his weakness and will try to correct it when he grows a bit more older.

The best thing that you can do is to have a real talk with him and see whats happening with him. See if there is anything you can do to help

Talk to him, see if that helps. If it doesn't..try talking to his parents and see if they'll do a diet with him. =]

You suddenly know what you are Hoping for.

The parents have to do something because as you said it will eventually kill him and also be a chain reaction to other problems such as respiratory, digestion and heart conditions i think you should talk to them and let them know exactly what their doing to him. Hopefully they will diet him or find a way to help him. I hope everything works out man. Hope this helps

Diet him... If the kid sees a tomato or a lettuce; he will just faint.

That's a problem here, he doesn't like healthy foods, and even fruits.

We have to wait a little bit. But, if we wait a bit longer, he could die, and that's what I fear the most.

Any comma slice?
