Well... I've read quite a bit, and had some friends go through axiety attacks, its one fo the worst things to do, my friend had to sit there and watch her boyfriend have a hallucination from LSD that he did 3 years ago (completely irrelivent...) but no matter the attack, its really about regaining controll over your body.
Now, I could sit here for countless hours and go over alot of details and such, but, it really comes down to your breathing and your mindset.
Hard to control, right?
Well... I found a website that SHOULD be able to cover most of the essentials,
http://www.nvo.com/isleepless/panicanxietyattacks/
Now... you might hate going through a purple-paged website, I'm not sure, but its helped me alot with helping friends. =/
I hope it can help you... (:

Boom! You scream as the light hits you
It radiates throughout your whole soul
Boom! The pain is clarity, it cleanses
And if it still fucking hurts
Then you still fucking know,
That you are still alive
That you are still in control, if you'd only take hold

When I'm struck by an anxiety attack, the first thing you need to remember is to breathe.

In through your NOSE, count to 5, hold for 3, then out through your MOUTH, again, count to 5, repeat this until you feel your breathing regulating again.

Concentrate on breathing into your stomach, so lay down, place your hand on your stomach, and focus on raising your stomach before your chest.

Focus on trying to relax your body, start with your toes, release the tension, imagine it flowing out of you, then your legs, calves, knees, thighs, hips, chest, arms, hands, fingers, neck, face, focus on relaxing your entire body, focus on all of the anxiety floating away in a bubble.

Calming, slow music may be of help too.

Try not to get yourself anymore worked up either, panicking does not help, I know it's easier said than done, but try to remain calm and patient, tell yourself it'll be okay in the end, keep telling yourself it will pass, you just need to ride it out, you need to focus on relaxing and keeping calm.

I hope this has helped somehow.

If it is a big issue for you, I'd recommend seeing someone about it, therapy could be a big help for anxiety difficulties, they could also give you some useful tips for when you're having one that could help.

Take care.

Avoidance won't help you, so stay in the situation. If you keep avoiding, then it'll become more and more of a fear. Avoiding and continously worrying about the anxiety won't help it, it'll make it worse. You need to try and focus on breathing, and how the anxiety will peak and eventually it'll go away. The thing is, the more and more you do these things and put yourself in the situation/s, then the anxiety will peak less severely, and it'll come down quicker. Eventually it won't be much of a problem at all, it'll probably be a breeze for you.

Keep hope and keep pushing yourself. Things will only get better for you.

Well i suffer from anxiety as well. I have become spiritual because i'm agnostic and i do what i like to call a mini meditation. What i usually do is i close my eyes i take a deep breath exhale slowly and i think hard of something like; My boyfriend and i or just friends, Were at the beach and were having a great time and i can hear the sound of the ocean. Were laughing and having a good time still breathing slowly and i smile and i feel so much more calm it helps me so much. Try it, it may help.

Contact me if you need to talk. I'm always here to help all

There are plenty of options and you have to find the ones that work for you, but here are some that work for me.

I personally use music to regulate my emotions. If I'm home, I'll start blasting music, trying to bring up some emotion other than stress. If I'm in public, I'll start listening to the song on my iPod. If I don't have it with me I'll just listen to the song inside my own head.

Also, daily meditation helps cut down on the times that I get so anxious. For me, that means locking myself in the bathroom while I run the hot water in the shower. Between the sound of the water falling and the steam, most of the stress I accumulate over the course of the day fades away.

Again, if this helps, great, but your mileage may vary. Try things out until you find what works for you.
