For those that don't know, Aspergers is a syndrome very closely related to autism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome for more info.

My VERY close family friend grew up with me practically and has it. He was heavily medicated and yet had these fits and outbursts of random anger. He had some tendencies that reminded me of OCD in the ways he acted. I love him to death and he is way cool to hang out with. When he is interested in something he will quickly find out EVERYTHING about it. He is a total tech geek. lol. But yeah, the younger years of him in puberty were hard but hes 21 now and he is properly medicated and is attitude is so much better.

Anyway, if this is just a therapist and not a doctor doctor, they cannot diagnose you and you should not take what they say too seriously even though it is a possibility. That therapist should refer you to a psychiatrist if they are SUPER serious.

All you need is love.

There isn't like, a cure as it is for most mental illnesses, though there is a coping way. The major thing with this disorder is social skills, so there can be just helping teach to control yourself and to stay calm etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperge...ome#Management

Try asking your therapist if there is any way to treat it Edit: Never mind Addison cleared it up lol
Also, if it doesn't bother you now (and it isn't getting worse) I would say just forget about it (unless theres treatment).
Just because your diagnosed with something doesn't change you

Yeah, most aspergers is diagnosed pretty young so at this point, you should be well beyond the normal diagnosis age. So, it shouldnt effect you much because you hopefully already developed your basic social skills that people with aspergers tend to lack. If it doesnt really impact your life like Artic Fox said, I wouldn't treat it... Jus tmy opinion. (not a professional)

No there isn't. But there are ways to learn appropriate social skills and ways or behaving. Just like proper etiquette. I mean, my friend i spoke of had huge fits and out bursts over someones shoe being untied as they walked. (true story)

-P.S. Im kinda bummed that i didnt get rep for all this, I thought I did a good job! lol jk jk

If it isn't affecting you too badly then it isn't something that you can't live with and improve on.

I disagree that you can't change a persons personality. It is difficult., but it is possible.

My brother has a mild case of this.

He has been seeing a therapist, or psychologist, psychiatrist, which ever one deals with the problems. He's getting A LOT better. I don't know what goes on in the appointments, but whatever happens, it helps.

[It's FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change. FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them. And when someone apologizes to you enough times for things they'll never stop doing I think it's FEARLESS to stop believing them. Letting go is FEARLESS. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after.]

Do you have friends that you spend time with in real-life?
To be honest, as long as you have friends that you can spend time with and have a laugh with then you shouldn't worry. Parents always get frustrated with and annoyed with their children, if it's not one thing then it's another.
