Default Anorexia

I have been diagnosed with anorexia. I am a 14 year old boy. I don't know what to do. TBH I don't want to do anything. I want to jump off my fire escape and end everything now. I am so very lost in life. I weigh 90 pounds. I consume 1000- calories a day. I work out a lot if I make a mistake in calculation or eating. I drink water to much. I have sometimes made myself throw up, and taken laxatives. I feel so helpless right now. I just really need help and support.
Thank you for reading this.

Hi Michael, I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this but please don't give up.

It seems someone knows about your eating disorder so I imagine you will already be getting support for that, but does anyone know about your suicidal thoughts? If not I believe it might be a good idea to seek some form of professional help to help you cope with these feelings.

I think you're very brave for seeking help. The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem. I know you seem lost right now, but trust me things will get better. I'd suggest seeking the help of a nutritionist (who can help you plan meals, because at this point your ED has control over you, and unfortunately I'm not sure if you should trust yourself with providing your body with nutrients). Also, get yourself an ED specialist; normal doctors tend to be very uneducated about eating disorders, and often are not sure how to help you succeed in treatment. Finally, and this is what helped me the most, get a counselor (again preferably an ED specialist); they can help you work on the root of your ED, help you discover why you needed that part of you in your life. If necessary, more intense treatment, like IOP or residential treatment might be helpful.

I hope this helps and I wish you luck! If you ever need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to message me!

There is no magic cure, no making it all go away forever. There are only small steps upward; an easier day, an unexpected laugh, a mirror that doesn't matter anymore.

I agree with everything BookSmart above said. Find people who can help you. Since you have been diagnosed I'm assuming that someone knows about your problem, approach them and tell them that you want to seek help in recovering. I hope you get the help and support you need.

life isn't that hard.
