Default Family Problems Forum?

Unless I have been so stupid as to have missed it, I do not see a forum for people having issues with their family, and it seems to me that that kind of thing happens a lot through the teen years. So, unless there is a forum which covers that kind of thing and I missed it, I think we should have one.
And I'm not talking about the big crisis kind of things which would be covered by the mental crisis forum, I'm talking about things where your parents aren't giving you enough freedom, or if you were having problems with your siblings (Which I am).

Just a suggestion.

I knowit's a good place to vent your anger, but we need a forum where people can go and know they'll get help with a specific kind of thing.

I think your idea is TOO specific. Maybe you should generalize it more.

Okay, instead o "family problems forum" it could be called "Family discussion", or even "Friends and family", so it could encompass any problems, or things you would like to discuss that deal with family and friends.

Also, if this were to be made, I would suggest it go in the help and advice forum, seeing as that's where stuff like relationships and dating is.

I think it's a good idea but I think you can just put this under relationships and dating or the white padded room.

Relationships are more than family issues. It's more of a discussion forum for those who need relationship advice.

Anyway, I think that this is a good idea, or can be made into a sub-forum...

I don't think we have a need for it.

I agree with Andy, in order for a forum, or even a sub-forum like this to be created, a lot of people have to show in interest in actually having the need to make posts like that in a forum like that. And I think that if someone is having problems with their family, that can probably go under abuse, or they can post things like that in their diary, or vent in TWPR. And relationships and dating isn't just for girlfriends/boyfriends, don't be afraid to post something about a friend or friends in there, I've done that before, and it didn't get moved and people didn't say that it was in the wrong section or anything.

I like the idea of 'Friends & Family', it could be put under the help and advice.

What teen doesn't have issues with their parents at some point or another? Hell, I'm 20, don't live with my parents and I'd post there. And it's not drastic enough for abuse and TWPR is a big place some people might feel uncomfortable posting it there.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

I think something like this would be pretty good. As Heather says we all have issues with our parents. I really like it.

Well I think that if you have to vent about your parents or siblings or friends then it should be done in TWPR and if something that is not related to venting then put it in the 'Family and Friends' section.

I think it would be a good idea

Yeah there's one benefit for it due to less crowding in TWPR

Yeah, I didn't think of that when I was suggesting it, but TWPR is REALLY crowded every time I look it there.

Yes but if you want to vent it's the perfect place. And yes it's over crowded with things like surveys and all this other stuff that took away it's meaning.

Yeah, like all those, "YAY!! I got 27 posts! Go me!!" threads. I think we've got to get as much things out of there as we can.

OH!!!!

I know, we could also have a bragging sticky in TWPR to clean up some of those types of posts and keep them in one place.

that's the thread that Rudi suggested and that didn't work.

Okay, but this is becoming something about TWPR.
Back to the family problems forum.
I think VT would benefit from it, because not only are threads dealing with family being posted in TWPR, but also other places like the puberty forums, when normally they don't have anything to do with puberty. So, in short, I think we should really make a "Family and Friends" or something like that, forum.

A friends and family forum wouldn't be bad idea actually.
