I don't really celebrate Christmas much, so it isn't a special time for me to make me sad.
I am not sure if I miss having a Christmas like other people or like you see on TV and such. It's just something I don't really know.

Nevertheless I hope everyone around here finds some days of piece and happiness.

Christmas can be super hard if things aren't going well with your family

My decision not to spend Christmas at home, or at least with my girlfriend, has been somewhat disappointed some of those folks who are affected by this decision. But I wanted to avoid the stress of packing, travelling and such, and the holidays are too short to be able to really relax at home or with my girlfriend.

I usually need at least a week to acclimatize myself. So I asked myself:

Where the heck exactly should I spend my holidays? At home, with my girlfriend or at both places? This and a lot more reasons led me to the decision not to waste my time waiting on air ports until I get from A to B and a few days later from B to C, and shortly after returning from C to A.

All in all, I would have spent my holidays traveling about 16500 km.

Although my gf understood my reasoning, she commented it like this: "I wish you would decide such thing more with your heart and less with your head."

My stepmother is even more worried. She thought I would spend Christmas alone suffering of depression. Not even close, smom. I got snow ... lots of it. And I spend part of the time looking after an Astmath dog and other pets (part of a school project).

So, the case is, I don't have a blue Christmas, but apparently the people who care about me. Hopefully they will not get depressed and have a good time anyway.
