Default counting

i'm a normal healthy boy... but i count everything i eat including calories, grams of fat, carbs, protein, vitamins, minerals. i also count every step i run or walk and incorporate into a giant spreadsheet. i've been doing this since i was 11. it's actually pretty impressive. i don't use any apps or anything.

is this a sign of an eating disorder or something else?

If this doesn't affect the cound of sth you eat, then no.But if it does, then I think you are addicted to this. You don't gain or lose weight so..

Think itís good and mind concioince to watch what you take in so long as you arenít over or under doing it.

Might (maybe) be a sign of ocd?
But Iím not sure about that.

And even if it is so what. If you like doing it then cool.

Do you keep a log of each day?

Do you think you have an eating disorder?
Reason I ask is I think this is the second thread you made questioning that.

About you counting your calories and all?
Teach them how to do it and get them to compare what you all eat every day and make it like a competition or something

Well I'm not sure if I would see this as a form of eating disorder but it sounds at least borderline OCD to me.
Seems you are really obsessing over things more than any professional athlete would do over their eating habits and all....so no matter where you categories it...it's definitely not what would be normal anymore.
In addition it seems like you must have a lot of time on your hand, lol.

maybe try stopping for 2 days, or whatever, and if you can't stop, then maybe its a warning sign of something.

if you can stop, and have proven it, then could be a very good thing.

i am no expert, but a doctor asked me this kind of question once.... she said, 'too much of anything is BAD!'

I don't think that keeping track of your food and exercise is a bad thing in itself, but why are you doing it? Is it to make sure that you don't gain an ounce? If you couldn't count everything for some reason would it really bother you?
