Default Pain and numbness

I was in a car accident somewhat over a year ago. My head, neck and arm got pretty fucked up there. Since that time I sometimes suffer from pain and numbness in my arm and hand now and then.

This time however it has me somehow worried. I got run over during a training football game by one of the biggest guys on the team. I fell rather unlucky and was really hurting. The coach took me to see a doctor as he knows about the car accident and all and said better save than sorry...

I got some pain killers that was all.
But it's about a week now...my neck and arm hurt so terribly, I have trouble sleeping. I took a couple of painkillers but don't want to overdo it.

What worries me even more than the pain is that my arm and hand seem to be somehow numb all the time. I even have trouble holding stuff since I hardly have any feeling in my fingers sometimes. And my hand seems cold which is unusual since I never have cold hands.

It's better at times and then when I think it goes away it gets worse again. The doctor obviously felt it's harmless but it is highly uncomfortable and affecting my daily routine and has me really worried.

You could have some nerve injuries. Those typically result in occasion pain and numbness, especially in the fingers. Nerves can take months if not years to properly heal, so it isn't unreasonable to say it could be still be affecting you from your car wreck. That is what I would say is your most likely culprit, though unfortunately that would mean that there isn't really anything you can do about it besides painkillers until your nerves heal naturally.

Another possibility could be side affects from any meds you are on. IDK if you are on any prescriptions, but if you are then that could also be your problem. I know my dad experienced very similar symptoms to what you are saying, and we eventually figured out it was due to the high blood-pressure med he was on.

what sort of doctor did you go see? You may need to see a neurologist, or other secialist who would deal with nerve damage...which is what it sounds like you have.

It sounds like really messed up nerves. I would ask your parents to make an appointment with a neurologist you can't go on like this and pain pills aren't the answer. Also I don't know but you could try seeing a chiropractor too.

I am gay and happy with that.
I love talking to people very open & willing to listen.
I am also glad to try help with questions or problems.

When you had these injuries, whatbdid the Dr call them?
Pain meds bro, talk to me about them. If you need them then thatís ok. But it Motrin ibuprofen or aspirin works use that instead. Shit like perks ind Vicís are easy to become addicted to.

Remember that fight I was in landed me in the hospital and allís that trouble? Then my shoulder last winter? I was taking so many Vicís from point a to like April or May I think. And it sucked bad to come off them.

Try not to over do them ok?
