Default Television/Cinema Forum

I think that the Television/Cinema forum's name should be changed to "Entertainment" to open up discussion about forms of entertainment that don't fit all that well into other forum categories. Literature and video games specifically. There's currently no place to discuss books, and Tech Junkie's Paradise doesn't get all that much video game discussion.

I thought we discussed books in The Open Book forum (though it seems most people share their writing)

The Open Book's description reads:
Quote:
Written something recently? Or want to just admire other writers, then come on in!
So you can share books there and discuss them, as it says "admire other writers" right in the description.

And I'm not sure why you think there isn't much video game discussion in TJP, because there is generally always video game discussion going on there. There are currently four threads about games on the first page of the section - and if you aren't interested in those threads you're always welcome to start your own about a game you're playing or interested in playing.

Always here to help. Don't hesitate to PM me.

Maybe not the name of the sub category, but I think it would be cool if the category was changed from "The 4th Wall" to "Entertainment", since Music, TV & Cinema fit into that category. Just a minor suggestion. I'm not even sure why it's called "The 4th Wall" anyway.

The fourth wall is the imaginary "wall" at the front of the stage in a traditional three-walled box set in a proscenium theatre, through which the audience sees the action in the world of the play. ~Wikipedia.

Honestly, I like that name. It mixes up the forums from just generic titles. (I didn't know what it meant either until now )

Love the name as well! Although I have no idea what a "proscenium theatre" is...

Stop, that tickles!
