Exclamation A bit of a dilemma...

I'm being constantly harrassed by someone. He's unpopular, mostly because he's always putting in little comments about people. My main problem is that I've NEVER fought with anyone seriously (I'm normally passive), but he's doing it to the point where I want to bring him down the next time he says anything to me. I'm not keen on going to the school about this, because the last time I let a school deal with bullying it worsened it to the point where I moved schools. I know I could beat him and the school and most people I know are aware that I'm not the person to kick off over nothing. I also know that if it kicks off that people are likely to back me and others will stop it with the insults if they know I'm not willing to go through school just taking whatever they throw at me. What should I do? Any advice is welcome, and apologies if this is in the wrong category.

Dont fight him. If he makes comments about you turn it around

Tell him to back down. And if he continues, then fighting won't be out of the question. But do make sure that you're not on campus when this happens, so that you won't get in trouble if it does come to this.

So in the abuse section, we resolve our issues with violence? That seems a bit odd to me.

I would avoid violence in this situation, any situation actually, violence isn't something to turn to to settle fights, arguments or disagreements. It will only make the issue worse because when he speaks out about it you'll get yourself in trouble and now you've made yourself the ass in the situation. Settle it peacefully, call him out on it, tell an adult or somebody who has authority rather than taking violent measures.

Always here to help. Don't hesitate to PM me.

I apologize for the fact that I wasn't clear enough in my other post. Fighting should really be a last resort, because if peaceful methods don't work (and they don't always work) then sometimes you need to up the ante a little bit.

The problem here is that, the vast majority of the time, adults don't do anything. Example: when I was in fifth grade, some kids actually tried to murder me (by electrocution). I told a teacher and.... nothing happened at all. You can't rely on adults like that, I'm just warning you.

In the past whenever I've told an adult the situation has been handled appropriately, so I guess that all depends on who that adult is.

I don't know where you're located but here in West Virginia, the school system is shit, and won't help resolve anything.

OP: Tell him to back off, if that doesn't work, then take it off campus.

Are you bigger than this guy? If you are, I would get in his face the next time he makes a stupid comment. Tell him you will smack him sideways unless he cleans up his act.

I'm in a similar situation; this kid in my math class likes to make the same kind of negative comments. One time he told me that this certain girl stuffs her bra. It just so happens that I like this girl (not in that way, I'm gay). So I told him, "why don't you say that to her face?" That shut him up really quick.

Suck my fat one, you cheap dime store hood!
