Default -Phobic parents

Hey y’all just something that popped into my head recently
***not looking to cause an argument at all****

When some one comes out as gay bi trans what have you to a heterosexual parent team some may be worried about acceptance

Now the question I want to pose is is it the same for those with a homosexual parent team - do they feel maybe pressured to be LGBT rather than straight because of acceptance too.

If I can find it I’ll like to a video of a parallel society where homosexuality was the norm and heterosexuality was not https://youtu.be/CnOJgDW0gPI

This is just a general thought no personal history behind it or anything feel free not to answer or
If you have any views positive or negative just be respectful of others when posting

Thanks
D

I'm bi but mostly into guys. I haven't done anything with girls so far, so I've had no reason to tell my parents, but I expect them to be very accepting. Maybe I'd even get a high five

I'm bi but prefer guys as well, and I've been raised by two lesbian women, so needless to say, coming out wasn't difficult for me. They some times joke about me probably "inherited" mom's sexuality.

Give me pizza covered in pineapple. Give me burgers loaded with pickles. Give me a steak burned to rubber and drowned in ketchup. I'll eat it all and sing hallelujah. But I'm begging you. Please don't serve me tuna. I'm a human being, not a cat.

I don't think there would be as much kick back from a gay couple. After all, we don't have religions teaching us heterosexuality is an abomination.

There might be some resistance from the largely lesbian crowd who supports the "die, white, het, cis-male scum, die" group, but I think that'd be pretty rare.

I imagine it'd be somewhat similar to the difference of a White guy bringing home a Black girlfriend and a Black guy bringing home a White gf (of course the same with a White or Black girl bring home a bf of the other race).

I’m lesbian. There was a point where I tried to make it work with guys but it never felt right. My dad said he kind of knew I was into girls at a young age because of the way I dressed and presented myself. Honestly, I forget how exactly I came out. I don’t remember much as at one point, it was just known in my family that I was into girls.

My grandma isn’t really supportive of me being gay. She often tries to get me in a relationship with one of my guy friends who I have a few things in common with. I think she feels as if it’s her duty to change my ways, but it just isn’t happening. I like my guy friend as a person, but I cannot see myself in a relationship with him. I’ve felt more sexual attraction to females.

Sounds like you’re looking for drama where it doesn’t exist

I think homosexual parents would understand the importance of being accepting no matter who their children are.
