Default Easily Customizable Skins

I've probably posted this in another thread somewhere before, but I think the 8 (16 if you count all the different "Bingo!" themes) skins are a bit old, I would like the ability to customize elements of the forum page, including colors, icons and such.

I am aware of the fact that you can *technically do this with some ind of coding hullabaloo, but despite being TheN3rdyOutcast, I don't know anything about coding, except that it involves 1's and 0's. I'd personally like to see some sort of "Create Your Own Skin" button thing in the UserCP that lets you select from different colors, different styles and stuff, and lets you preview what different pages will look like with your custom skin. Sort of like Microsoft Powerpoint.

Again, I suck at coding.

Default Re: Easily Customizable Skins

I'm unsure if there are any easy editors, seeing that most vB templates aren't just CSS and are rather a collection of images and its own XML, being specific to the forum version.

It's not that hard to personalize. This code, for example does this to the background. (Only the bold is interesting, for now)
I take that back, it's HELL. vBulletin doesn't help at all with class names. If you want to try, be prepare to hack, a lot.

@namespace url(;

@-moz-document domain("") {
    background: #000000 url(;
    background: inherit;

It's really just messing a bit with 'inspect element' with very basic knowledge of CSS/HTML.

Some parts, like the preview bar, with that nice gradient, is based off an image, and you'll have to edit those and have the CSS point to an image on your PC.

Hope I could help
