Default Open-minded about food?

Are you open-minded about food, or do you have hang-ups, like

-won't eat tuna because you foolishly think it's cat food
-won't eat Rocky Mountain oysters because they're bulls testicles
-won't eat octopus because it's...octopus?

What line won't you cross and why?

I agree with all 3 examples lol

I am a very picky eater. I only say name-brand food, and I do not like seafoods.

I wouldn't eat any really stinky food such as:
Stinky tofu
Lutefisk
Certain Scandinavian cheeses!
Durian
Burgoo (Kentucky squirrel brains)
Jellied moose nose.

If it smells bad, I won’t eat it.

Never heard of the last two, but my Dad occasionally gets Limburger cheese and Leiderkranz cheese.

I'm sort of curious about trying durian. Really, I'll try most things.

Pinch your nose. Lots of things which smell bad have a rich taste.

My granddad likes to eat Limburger cheese and raw onions. It does smell bad. Durian is a fruit that grows mostly in Southeast Asia. The smell, they say, is like rotting flesh. But if you can get by the smell they claim the taste pretty good. I heard they even make durian flavored ice cream.

Heeyy The remark about the tuna was a personal one!

Otherwise I have no hang-ups. I'll eat bulls testicles even if it really IS bulls testicles... once...

Well I can't stand seafood except stuff like tuna probably.
And I'm very picky with how the food looks, if I find the looks too disgusting it's a no-no.

I'm kind of picky honestly. I don't like seafood or Asian food or other weird ethnic foods sometimes.

It's good to be open-minded about food. If you don't like the taste of something, that's fine. But to not like tuna because you confuse it with cat food is kind of....

I'm the opposite about presentation. I couldn't care less how food looks.
Things like beef stew aren't very good looking, but boy they taste good.

And in some nicer restaurants I've had some food presented impressively, but when I bit into it, it was nothing special.
Though they do say your eyes are the first thing which determines if you like a food or not.

I also heard about durian ice cream. But I heard it's just the flavor and not the smell.

haha Knowing how open-minded you are, I'll take that as a sign I shouldn't give it a try.

Have you ever smelled Limburger cheese?

I'm pretty open minded, the food items I refuse to eat (unless I'm starving and it's the only option) I've already had at some point, and know what they taste like. I'm eager to try something new, as long as it's dead.

Only in The Sims do they chop lettuce and tomatoes when making a P&J sandwich.
