I'm adding on to our network so my family can have file sharing. And I've got it working perfect, until the windows 98 computer won't show up. Is 98 compatible with XP netoworks?

yes it is... go to search and search for the computer name under the Find Computers (or similar) and see if you can find it that way

I've tried everything, the computer name is Mom, so naturally it should be \\Mom But even then, it's not in the search, it's not in network places, and it's not in the work group

Well I had to make a special floppy disk for the Win98 computer because that's what it said to do for other platforms. I entered the same thing for everything.
