Default Scaring Myself?

Ok. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread but let me explain what my title meant. So at night if I can't go to sleep eventually I start to think of something scary. Then it gets scarier and scarier. I try to stop but my mind eventually goes back to that scary thought... Can anyone help me out?

Why is it that I always resort to jammin?

Well for one thing, if you cannot sleep, you should avoid the scary thoughts! They arenlt exactly conducive to relaxation and sleep.

In the night, when we're lying down, in the dark, alone, our defenses drop. It's part of the process of falling off to sleep. So, a lot of very scary thoughts can come in rapid succession that otherwise wouldn't. As the saying goes, "Things always seem better in the morning". Sounds like that's what happens.

If you cannot fall asleep, the best thing to do is something to relax you, like read, listen to music, watch TV, and yes, masturbation. Don't just lie there if you see that you're not going to fall off to sleep.

its not insomnia or anything like that you just need to chill

you could listen to an mp3 to cool you off on a night and you fall asleep with songs in your head it helps relax me sometimes and if your scary thoughts are about monsters and ghosts and things that go bump in the night - lay off horror films and gaming sytems for a while just to see if it goes away because surprisingly enough no matter how big you are that can subconsiously terrify you

and dont worry, theres no such thing as monsters
