Yes I think it's important to take it easy, just stuffing it down the hatch in five minutes isn't very healthy I think.

As you do we leave the phones and gadgets behind and talk to eachother while we enjoy the food slowly. We share the experiences of the day and laugh.
They say that it's because of similar eating conditions the people of southern France live so much longer.

There is a rule in my family that when we sit down to eat, phones, ipad and whatevers do not come to the table. It's family time and we use that time to connect with each other and find out what everyone is doing and going through.

It's good to take your time and enjoy your food. Though are times I need to finish quicker so I can do something after

I eat slow and pick out what i want. i prefer my food separate not like a stew. No phones allowed at table which i think is a good thing cause something always gets spilled. lol

I turn my meal into a mush myself. xD Glad you take your time, and yes, the chance of spilling is just one more reason to keep the phone in your pocket.
