Thank you for effectively ruining another thread. Instead of doing that, you could have instead started one with good things about the Republican party, but no.

and that is EXACTLY why it will never have any power because the rich do not wish it

Over in Australia we have the Liberal Party (no, not your definition of Liberal... these guys are like your Republicans) and the Labour Party.

Now I have friends in some circles, and they overhear blue-collar people saying "I'm just going to vote for Labour because they're right" Blue-collar people automatically think that Labour is right because it represents them. It isn't. It has marvellous plans, but they only work in the short-term. Liberal may be generally less popular (Howards been in three terms though so Liberal's doing something right) but they have excellent long-term plans. They haven't put the country in debt.

Everyone still complains about a tax Howard introduced called the General Services Tax (GST). It basically puts a small tax on everyday purchases, barring essentials. People blame things for being expensive, saying the GST is bad. The money from GST goes to building and improving hospitals and schools etc etc. People just want to dislike the Liberal Party.

Matt and others, would you say it's the same over in the US with the Republicans and Democrats?

Well that public opinion seems to sway to one particular party and one is disliked by a majority of people....

The reason that the green party, which i love, is a dead party is because they are no were to be found and most likly never will be found in congress. But I for one then we should have a cerimonial mohnarcy (spelling?) just like the UK and Japan.

""The New Law of Righteousness," that there "shall be no buying or selling, no fairs nor markets, but the whole earth shall be a common treasury for every man," and "there shall be none Lord over others, but every one shall be a Lord of himself.""

well the thing about parties like the green party or the independants is that even people who belong to them know they wont win, so to make their vote count they vote for either the reupblicans or democrats

Well ... let's see.
-They are not letting us use the woods, and they are becoming overgrown
-We have to pay thousands more for our cars, for pollution equipment that has no effect on our cars.
-They are trying to ban SUV's
-They helped to kill industry in the US by passing over protective laws for the environment.

Yes, very good party

Paleoconservative and proud

at least get your facts straight!!!
the forests are NOT overgrown there doing the oposite actually

There are two main areas that absorb allot of the earths CO2 the rain forest and reefs, the rainforest is almost gone and the majority of the reefs are dead even if they were healthy were looking at CO2 saturation in 50yrs............Do you have any comprehention of what that means?

most of its american, its a fact america produces ALLOT of polution but allot of countrys are at fault including canada

But of course when it comes down to the enviroment or money guess which ones this disgusting greedy species always picks and anyone who fights for the enviroment is labled a tree hugger

.....jesus.........I'm actually becoming ashamed to be human
