Default insecurities

I've been hurt repeatedly by my significant others and I have intense trust issues as a result. I need to find a way to help myself open up to my current and trust them more instead of constantly worrying theyre doing things behind my back.

I'm not advocating drug use at all by this, but I was the same way once. I was afraid of letting people in and opening up, because everyone else that I did screwed me over or just left altogether. The only way I open up to people is high or drunk. Its sad but its the only way i can get over the fear, negative thoughts and not be afraid. However I'd try talking to people on here to open up and be less "afraid" of people, all the while gaining some confidence

Trust is something that needs to be earned. Ask yourself, what reasons has your significant other given you to trust them? Are they good reasons? Does your significant other trust you?

When these questions are answered, I think you'll have an easier time learning to trust them again.

I agree with Blood. Trust should not come automatic.
I think it is something that needs to build up in layers
over a long stretch of time and testing.

trust can suck a dick
when you trust someone
they take out their knife and stab you in the back.

sigh - sadly that seems true in a lot of cases no matter how careful you are.
