Talking Does anyone else here have ehlors danlos syndrome?

EDS is when your body makes too much collagen, and your joints and other connective tissues are super strechy. you remember that old spongebob episode where the guy fakes that he breaks his bones everynight. Its kind alike that except not so extreme.

Litterally at any moment i can dislocate anything on my body lol i have to crack my knees every now and again or they click lol also my elbow cracks a lot

then she probably didnt have it. EDS is a genetic disorder that messes with your DNA there is not cure for it

My ex girlfriend has EDS. I remember she used to struggle a lot with pain when we were together, but I think she’s been put on new medication now so she can’t feel the pain as bad. However she still does struggle with a lot of things - like drinking from a teacup and brushing her hair - she gets help when she needs it. I think she’s just happy that she isn’t in a wheelchair yet, because that was looking very likely when I was with her.

Which subtype of EDS do you have? If I remember correctly, she had the kyphoscoliosis subtype, but I can’t really remember.

Wait? Newer gene editing sciences havent figured out how to theoretically threat this? With CRISPR and everything? I thought it was an ethics quagmire that was holding viable treatments and cures back, but the science was technically found.
