MacBook Pro 13 inch

Just kidding.

http://store.asus.com/us/item/201510AM170008064/A18486 This is decently spec'd. Also under $1000. Asus is my favorite manufacturer for Windows PCs, but I'm a Mac user so I'm partial to my MacBook Pro. But I know someone who has a laptop similar to that from Asus and it is really nice. The higher up model also has an SSD which will speed things up a lot.

Honestly idk what "breaking the bank" is to you.

You can get a pretty dank one for 1k$

Honestly I would say get a cheaper laptop for browsing and random stuff, and get a proper desktop for gaming.

1k laptop is equivalent to a 500-600$ proper PC. 1k for a proper desktop could get you a PC that can handle VR easily.

So either you have portability with meh capabilities, or max power but no portability.

Here is an example of a laptop that is equivalent to a 500-600$ desktop

It really depends on your use like the games you wanna play, the portability you're looking for etc.

ASUS' are indeed good PCs.
GL5XX series is a good choice as said above.
However if you're looking for something with more punch (and if you don't especially mind the weight and to a certain extent, the price) The G7XX series will probably fit you more.

Please specify the max you are willing to spend buddy? Also, must it be a laptop? A desktop would have at least 3x better performance for the same price as well as other benefits.

Really the only reason I didn't pick a G7 series model was because from what I've seen, that would basically be a desktop PC for me because I would not be using something that large as a laptop lmao.

You're going to need to "break the bank" if you want a good pc that can play RDR2.
