Rumors?

Ok so there's this girl who's my BEST FRIEND and last school year is when our friendship got so strong. But of course there were rumors of that we were dating like: "Hey, Marcus and her are SO going out." and "You two are PERFECT for each other! *snicker*" And of course we snapped and tried to make the fact clear that we aren't going out.

Then a couple months back while looking on Facebook she sounded really angry. She found on a Quiz question that was " Do you think Dom _____ is cute?" (I put yes because I didn't want to call her ugly )

Then Last month we went to the homecoming game together, but after getting in she suggested that we go under the bleachers. (Say what? lol)

We were with two other friends and after we sat on the bleachers they said "OH MY GOD THEY'RE ABOUT TO MAKE OUT!!!!!" Of course, we snapped and chased them away. (We went above the bleachers after that)

And about 2 weeks ago I was on the same exact quiz that my friend took and saw my answer. And I saw that she said She thought I was cute.

Here I enter my next chapter for my quest for love lol.

Rumors are bound to occur like that. Today's society finds it harder and harder to grasp a mixed-gender friendship.
"Guy + Girl = <3"
Which is not always the case.
I believe it's happened to everyone. I know firsthand it's happened. While a lot of times it comes from flirting it can also occur through others' ignorance.

More or less it's a sign of a very strong friendship, a rumor that shouldn't bother you.

Yes, I have had that. There were rumors that this girl and I liked each other and were going out, however, we weren't as I had just been in few other relationships.
We became very close friends and she soon found herself hanging out with my friends more than her own. Everyone was saying we should get together and all that stuff, and we made a point that there were no romantic feelings for each other.
When the tenth grade formal came around the two of us decided to go to the formal together as we were both going alone and a few of our other friends had dates.
This fired the rumours again, but we still kept insisting there was nothing going on between us.
On the formal night this all changed. As we were very close friends one thing led to another and we started a relationship that night. For a while everyone believed that we were together long before that but just announced it then.
We have now been together for two years.

In a strange round about way, sometimes we joke that it was the rumours that pushed us together, and our friends saw what we were too blind to see.

That's basically my story of having everyone spreading rumours that I was dating someone when we clearly weren't, but ended up anyway.

Today's society? No, that's how it's always been. o_O

I've had this a few times, but not very often at all. But, meh, even when it did, who cares? Getting annoyed only feeds it. That's probably part of the reason I didn't get it much - I never cared.

It's happened to me this year, actually.

Some rumor got out that I was sleeping with my girlfriend's friend. I was pretty angry, and soon found out it was some stupid girl who saw me talking to her. I told her to cut her shit out before I involve the school. And she did.

It happened to me, with a girl i like. And we're going out now. Isn't life funny?

Yeah, after the rumors stopped, I now start to wonder "What if?"

It happened once and it is happening right now to me.

At first was with my childhood best friend, our parents' friends thought we were boyfriend and girlfriend, it was annoying but we were younger so we didn't rally care.

Now it's worse. There is rumors about me and my best friend (not the same as the above). This IS REALLY ANNOYING!!! I HATE IT!!!
They are both girls.

People just can't seem to understand that a boy and a girl can be best friends and hang out without eating each others tongues.

Please people. I said it's annoying, not that I am making graffitis on walls against it.

Rumours like that are bound to happen, when you're immature it's amusing to think you know somehting before someone else. Just rise above it.

I changed school last summer and quickly became very good friends with a guy I had met (but forgotten) years ago when we were at the same school, and now we are going out, and very much so in love, and have been for about 6 months in total, with many more to come.

Life is strange indeed!

Wow, that's...interesting. It could honestly go either way.

First of all disregard all the rumors, they can completely break any chance of relationship you guys have, believe me.

Focus on her and you, try and get an idea of what she may want. Remove yourself from the world, then remove her, then analyze both people at there core. See what you guys want, do you want more than a friend. Figure it out and don't worry about the rumors.

Well tonight we had a dance. And a slow dance came on. And it was me and my other friend. (Not the one I've BEEN talking about) And she asked if I wanted to dance. OF COURSE I said yes. lol. And it was the first time I slow danced. Everybody was like: "Aww"
And she said it was just as friends. I agreed. BUT of course everybody saw it different.
So yeah...waiting for the barrage of questions on Monday.

there was a rumor i had an 11 inch dick before my ex-girlfriend and i broke up, but i cleared that up, lol.
