Unhappy Afraid to tell

OK, so I am deeply depressed (Too long of a story), and I think I may be schizophrenic. The thing is, I'm afraid to ell me mom because I fear she will think I'm making it up, and the voices agree with me. They won't let me tell her...Please, just some words of advice...

TELL HER!

An untreated mental disorder can get very dangerous very fast.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT listen to anything that the voices say.
Any parent wants what is best for their child.
Why would she not believe you if your health were at stake?
Tell her about it and make an appointment with your family doctor ASAP.

So if you care to find me, look to the western sky.
As someone told me lately, everyone deserves a chance to fly.

Tell her and if she doesn't listen, go to the school guidance.. they have a strange way of making parents understand..

Good luck, PM me if you need ANYTHING because I'm always here to talk..

Oh, I agree with Steph here, you have to get some help! If you're concerned about telling mom, tell some other adult, a family member, a guidance counsellor.

Whatever it is that you might have is treatable, but in order to get the help you need, you need to first tell someone! Ignore the voices, go tell someone.

Steph gave some awesome advice there. I think you should do exactly what Steph said and tell your parents so you can get some professional help.

i don't know how old you are, but if you are old enough to get medical advice by yourself, do it.
i am schizophrenic (diagnosed three years ago), but absolutely cannot tell my parents. the big problem with that is that i have to come up with a lot of money for the meds, which are a fortune at sixteen years old without insurance. it's hell ever month; i have often had to resort to street drugs when i couldn't afford the meds. i'm partiently waiting to turn eighteen so i can buy generic drugs off the internet.
get a diagnosis first, then tell her. it'll be horrible at first, but meds are damned expensive. also tell yourself that she will have to find out one day, if it's true.
good luck

Tell someone you trust and respect. It's a huge relief to have someone you can talk to about it, believe me. Just think about it carefully - pick someone whose opinion you can rely on, and who you know will keep it private. You need another person to advise you.
